How Do I Prepare For The UL or ULC Firestop Exam?

The UL Firestop Exam is a 125+ question, 3-hour exam that evaluates in individual’s demonstrated knowledge of the firestop industry. Those Specialty Firestop Installation Contractors operating in Canada must also write the Canadian Supplement, a 25 question, 1-hour supplement, which is added to the core UL Firestop Exam and graded as a whole.

Some of the areas assessed include the individual’s comprehension of the UL Solutions QFC Program requirements and the FCIA Firestop Manual of Practice, as well as general firestop product knowledge, including firestop industry protocols, system selection and analysis, firestop inspection, and more.
