Updated FCIA Response to COVID-19 Developments

by: Lindsey Dutkiewicz

As many of you are aware and are likely doing personally, FCIA’s leadership has been actively monitoring the very fluid COVID-19 situation for the last several weeks.

As a Board of Directors, knowing the FCIA ECA ’20 Conference is still 60 days away, we understand the situation can change quickly and are watching the situation and looking at options to serve the membership – our FCIA family.  We take your safety very seriously, and are therefore working to make decisions in the best interests of all FCIA Members, attendees, staff, and all others impacted by this event.

Watch FCIA.org for the most up-to-date information regarding upcoming FCIA events, including the FCIA’s Board of Directors’ update on the FCIA Education and Committee Action Conference, which will be issued within the next 7-10 days.

For those who may have already booked their room at the host hotel, the Intercontinental Kansas City at the Plaza cancellation policy is a full-refund of any deposit previously paid provided notice of cancellation is given by 6:00 pm one-day prior to the day of arrival.  Cancellations after that time may be subject to deposit forfeiture of one-night’s room and tax.

We appreciate your patience as we all navigate, and work to make the decisions that are best for our Membership and the Association, in the wake of the uncharted waters that COVID-19 presents.
