The Canada Committee’s mission is to promote the FCIA’s ‘DIIM’ concept in Canada as it does worldwide. To accomplish this, we promote the Specialty Firestop Installation Contractor concept in Canada, the FM 4991 Approved and ULC Qualified Contractor Programs and the ASTM E 2174/2393 inspection Standards, while supporting and developing FCIA’s membership in Canada. We work with the National Research Council of Canada, as well as speak with and liaison with key design, specification, and code officials/fire marshals.
