2015 Annual FIC Spouse Tour -
Olive Arizona!

Lose yourself in the beauty and magic of the Olive Groves of Italy - without leaving Arizona - at the 2015 Annual FIC Spouse Tour

Ever dreamed of walking the foothills of Italy?

Does basking in the glow of the late autumn sun, exploring olive groves as far as the eye can see and dining on the culinary treats of the region sound like your perfect day-trip?

When you hear the words Extra Virgin Olive Oil, does your imagination immediatly call up images of rolling hills and rows of vineyards and olive groves, and do you immediately reply with "Where's the bread to dip?"

Then you need to join us for the 2015 Annual FIC Spouse Tour

(And yes, we say it "ah-love" Arizona around here!)

This year, the 2015 FIC Spouse Tour will visit the Queen Creek Olive Mill. This 100 acre family-owned, sustainable farm is Arizona's only working olive farm and mill and features over 7000 trees and 16 different varieties of olives, including 25 acres dedicated solely to the production of Arizona's only Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Their motto is "Blossom to Bottle Goodness" and they take that to heart, producing only high-quality farm fresh, local food and EVOO.

The FCIA tour group will be treated to a history of the farm and will walk the groves and watch as they harvest the olives for pressing. After that, we will tour the milling facility, learn how olive oil is made and will see the pressing of olives into olive oil.

Next, we will enjoy a private tasting with owner and master blender, Perry Rea, and will learn the proper way to use EVOO, along with some basic product knowledge.  Following this interesting and interactive session with Mr. Rea, we will make our way to the olivespa, where skincare products are made using the mill's Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Finally, we will have a catered lunch of gourmet dishes featuring Queen Creek Olive Mill olives and wine. Before we return to the resort, we will have the opportunity to browse in the marketplace.
