FCIA President's Message - Scott Rankin (Pyro-Stop, LLC) Presented some pretty clear goals for 2003 to FCIA at the November Firestop Industry Conference. He challenged us all "to give back to the industry...expect nothing in return...and watch the dividends pay back to your business tenfold".... "Ask not what your association can do for you.... Lets get together, help shape our industry and grow in 2003...." Look for more details in the next newsletter.

FCIA sincerely thanks outgoing board members Aedan Gleeson, (Gleeson - Powers, Inc., Franklin, MA), Don Murphy, (PPMI Firestop, Inc., Greenfield, IN) and Mel Tabor, (Tabor Insulation, Inc., Salt Lake City, UT). All three were Steering Committee Members who donated countless hours setting up FCIA and sharing their contacts and talents growing our membership to where it is today.

Mark your Calendars now - The FCIA "Education and Committee Action Conference" is in Las Vegas, April 30, May 1 & 2, 2003. We're at the Embassy Suites, across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe, and 5 blocks from Las Vegas Blvd. & the major casinos. The Program Committee is working already to make this program more Educational with top notch speakers, and still include Committee Meetings, Golf and fellowship. The Firestop Industry Conference Dates are November 5, 6 and 7, 2003. Mark your calendars now!

Trade Shows for 2003 - FCIA will participate in the following shows with the International Firestop Council. We'll need volunteers to work the booth for FCIA at the shows. Email bill@fcia.org if you can join us. Here's the dates:

FCIA Trade Show Booth - Are you exhibiting at a show this year? Use the FCIA Trade Show Booth as a backdrop for your booth area. It fits in a standard 10' x 10' area and is eye catching. You pay shipping to your location, then store until the next member needs the booth. They pay shipping to their location. It's about 90 pounds and costs under $50 to ship via ground, under $100 via air. EMail the FCIA Office to reserve your spot, ( bill@fcia.org ).

Happy New Year from FCIA - We at FCIA thouroughly enjoyed our holiday season with time off for needed refueling and family time. We hope you had a great holiday and look forward to serving you in 2003.
